I knew a man, his name was Lange
and he had a neon sign.
Mr. Lange was on in years
so we called it
"Old Lange's Sign"

Happy 2009 everyone. This update is presented via Michael's laptop. My computer has a virus and it has made posting very hard. I hope everyone  had a great New year's eve. I stayed home and watch a movie, God, I'm getting old. I can remember when New Years meant getting loaded and ending the night making out with some random women. Aaahhh, those were the days. Now here I am spending the night alone in my apartment watching some crappy movie listening to the people next door playing "rock band". As far as I can tell Bon Jovi has nothing to worry about. For the past few weeks these guys and their friends have been playing , "Livin on a Prayer" and they suck. When the power went out at the wedding and the kids kept singing it was much better than the crap that I hear through my walls. I would complain but there is no one in the apartment on the other side and unless the people living under them complain they will know it is me. It's bad enough that they are having these parties almost every weekend but they also have to go out on the balcony so the noise is even louder.
So, did anyone make any resolutions for the new year? Don't worry it's not to late. What fun is it if you don't have a resolution or two to break. It's only for the winter, they never last till spring anyway. Sure the big one, to lose weight. How many people make this one and it's only to look good in a swimsuit this summer so by the time spring comes, warm weather, sexy clothes, resolution over. This is also a commentary on Americans, our attention span is only a few months at best. This is both good and bad. The good part is that we are resilient, something bad happens and we get over it quick. The bad side is that corporate America knows this as well and uses it against us. They get caught doing something wrong and after a few days or weeks we forget all about it. Watch the sales of SUV's go up again now that gas is under $2 a gallon. Remember when it was over $4 and we all wanted to know where were the hybrids or electric cars?  the war, we all know it's wrong, we all know that it was a lie to begin with and we still don't care. Maybe if there was a draft more people would give a crap about what is going on, but hey, it's a holiday so stop thinking and go back to watching the Rose Parade (it's on four different channels for crying out loud). Happy New Year everyone, enjoy (see even my attention span is short)

Sorry to hear about the rockband obsessed neighbors. Just think of it as karma's response to you buying Sara SingStar karaoke for her birthday last year.
